Sort Paragraphs — sort paragraphs and lists in Google Docs A → Z.

Alphabetize paragraphs, bullet lists, and reference lists inside Google Docs — one click from the Extensions menu. Nested items travel with their parent line, blank lines stay exactly where they are, and Ctrl+Z undoes a sort in a single step.

  1. Select the paragraphs, bullet points, or list you want in order.
  2. Open the Extensions menu and choose Sort Paragraphs.
  3. Click Sort A → Z, or open the panel for the options below.

Works only with the document you have open. Your text never leaves it — no external servers, no account required.
